Employment for 3 young girls to sew reusable sanity pads

Global Ripple helped set up a non for profit organisation called Karna Kashi. Together we employ girls from disadvantaged backgrounds to sew. At the present time they are sewing hundreds & hundreds of reusable, washable period pads which are then distributed throughout the local Indian communities & have also been sent to Australian Indigenous communities. This saves women & girls so much money & offers a much more hygienic form of sanitary protection. Often Indian women will be forced not to eat in order to pay for their sanitary protection. The girls who sew for us are provided with a home, wages, food & English lessons. They also have their learners’ drivers licences.
