Land & Mudbrick houses

Our first Global Ripple/Karna Kashi project is off to a great start as we have just recently purchased a beautiful block of land in Chetru on which we intend to build nine mud houses for a community of 55 Rajasthani people who for generations have been forced to move relentlessly against their will.  This is a piece of history in the making as it is the first time Rajasthani people have owned a piece of land in Himachal Pradesh. It is also the first time they have lived outside of plastic.

We are recently installed the borewell and the community now have water.  The foundations are going in now and then we will begin the mudbrick houses which the people will help construct themselves. They have already, ever so willingly, made thousands of the required mud bricks.
